Hands & Voices has developed this dedicated page to support our Chapters and Programs, including our Family Leadership in Language and Learning Family-Based Organizations (FBO) and stakeholders, throughout this turbulent time of the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic. We know this is impacting all of us at many levels in our daily lives. • From the  American Academy of Pediatrics interim guidance:
  The AAP recommends that anyone 16 years of age and older who meets criteria in phased implementation groups, as recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practic`es, receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Policy makers should consider the unique needs of CYSHCN and their families/caregivers when making determinations about vaccine prioritization and distribution. In particular, families/caregivers of children who receive home health care services may be considered health care personnel and be eligible for priority vaccination. Once a COVID-19 vaccine is approved for individuals <16 years of age, vaccine distribution and access should be supported for all eligible children and adolescents, with particular attention to those at risk for severe biological effects of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
