Hands & Voices Chapter Support Series of Six
The Virtual “Flipped Classroom”
This program is broken down into six independent Zoom sessions using the *“flipped learning” philosophy. Rather than a traditional educational learning structure of a presenter showing PowerPoint slides, content is assigned before class and then an interactive conversation is facilitated with all participants. Class size will be limited to 12-14 participants to make the most of this model. If the assignments are not completed before class, you may not participate. Please come prepared to share, ask and answer questions, and to learn from your classmates!
Intended Audience: Hands & Voices Chapter and program leaders.
A typical 2 hour “class” will include:
- Agenda-Introductions
- Facilitated discussion around the assigned pre-work which is to be completed PRIOR to class
(Estimated time for pre-work activities averages 60-90 minutes) - Wrap up
Classes will take place every other month on the designated Thursday from 11:30am -1:30pm MT
Registration is required and will be available 2 months prior to each session here.
- Thanks for Attending - Look for next season’s Series of Six flipped classroom coming soon!

*The Flipped Learning is a pedagogical approach in which direct instruction moves from the group learning space to the individual learning space, and the resulting group space is transformed into a dynamic, interactive learning environment where the educator guides students as they apply concepts and engage creatively.
